Healthy Life Expectancy World Ranking / Country Ranking (2022 Edition)
According to the 2022 World Health Statistics released by WHO, Japan has the longest average healthy life expectancy at 74.1 years. Singapore is second with 73.6 years old, and South Korea is third with 73.1 years old, with Asian countries occupying the top three. The US ranks 68th with 66.1 years. *The figures are as of 2019.
There are 32 countries with healthy life expectancy over 70 years. In addition to the Asia-Pacific region, there are many European countries.
Even by gender, Japan ranks first, with males aged 72.6 and females aged 75.5.
The country with the shortest healthy life expectancy is Lesotho, where men are 42.3 years old and women are 46.4 years old. However, countries for which statistical data is not available are excluded.
The average healthy life expectancy in the world is 63.7 years. Of these, males are 62.5 years old and females are 64.9 years old.
